Haitian-Canadian Photographer Ajani Charles Exhibition at Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport

Acclaimed Haitian-Canadian photographer Ajani Charles’s much awaited exhibition opened in January 2024 to much media fanfare at a very unusual venue, the atrium of Toronto’s Billy Bishop City Airport. It will remain open until the end of the year. So far thousands of travelers, tourists, and Toronto residents have seen Project T-Dot, Ajani’s stunning collection of some 80 portraits of Toronto’s artists and other key actors involved in the creation and growth of the city’s hip-hop scene over the past decades. Some, like Drake, are world famous; others are less known but no less important in the development of this sometimes marginalized sector of the arts scene in a multicultural city renowned for its arts and entertainment. This exhibition consists of poster size photos on two walls and a large interactive touchscreen that allows visitors to peruse the subjects’ bios and additional pictures.  Don’t miss Ajani Charles’s Project T-Dot at Billy Bishop City Airport on your next visit to the Queen City; if you’re a resident, do make the convenient public transit trip to the downtown airport to see one of the biggest ever solo photo exhibitions in Canada.

Under their pressure, Prime Minister Ariel Henry resigned on March 11, 2024. The security crisis leads to another less reported consequence: the disorganization of the education system.
