The Haitian Development Network Foundation is a 501(c)(3) IRS registered public charity promoting social and economic development in Haiti. Our goal is to empower the Haitian people by providing them with the necessary resources and support to build a better future.
The Haitian Development Network Foundation founded in 2023 is an interconnected group of people, organizations and communities linked together to share resources, information and pathways for the sustainable development of Haiti and its people.
Inspired in part by the “Victory gardens” of WWI.
Haiti, the First Black Republic, was founded on the principles of liberty and self-sufficiency. In 1804, during its declaration of independence, the Commander in Chief, General Jean-Jacques Dessalines told us something very profound and true:
“And you, a people so long without good fortune, witness to the oath we take, remember that I counted on your constancy and courage …. Remember that I sacrificed everything to rally to your defense; If ever you refused or grumbled while receiving those laws that the spirit guarding your fate dictates to me for your own good, you would deserve the fate of an ungrateful people.”
HDN works with individuals, families, farmers, entrepreneurs, small businesses and schools as an interconnected group of people, organizations and communities linked together to share resources and data, creating a pathway for the sustainable development of Haiti and its people.
Our organization measures success through key performance indicators such as number of individuals served, the impact of our programs on the community, and the sustainability and growth of our initiatives.
We are grateful for our corporate partners who share our passion for making a difference in Haiti. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of international donor agencies, private foundations, international organizations, philanthropists, individual donors, and volunteers.
If you have any questions or wish to volunteer your time and/or skills, fill out the form, share your ideas with us, and let’s solve Haiti together.
