  • Food security & agriculture (seed distribution, gardens, irrigation support, agronomist training)
  • Poultry & livestock (chicken distribution, breeding support, vaccinations, feed)
  • Economic development (community savings & loans, small business training, microenterprise support)
  • Renewable energy & biogas (biogas systems, clean energy solutions, fertilizer production)

Where do you work?

We support sustainable development projects in Haiti, including food security and economic development initiatives.

Monthly giving provides consistent support that helps sustain year-round programs (agriculture training, seed distribution, poultry programs, community savings groups, and more).

What is the Emergency Relief Fund?

The Emergency Relief Fund is designed to help HDN respond quickly during crises (e.g., hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding, disease outbreaks, violence, sudden food shortages), while staying connected to long-term development.
If no emergency is active, donations remain designated for emergency use so we can respond quickly when needed.

Yes. Planned giving options include bequests (wills/trusts), retirement accounts, life insurance, donor-advised funds, and other planned gifts.

Can I give in someone’s honor or memory?

Yes. Memorial and honor gifts can support programs such as seeds, poultry, savings & loans, biogas/renewable energy, and education/community development. The page also describes acknowledgment options (email message and possible printed card) and keeping gift amounts private unless requested.

Do you accept in-kind donations (goods or services)?

Yes. In-kind giving (goods/materials/professional services) is presented as a way to reduce project costs and improve program efficiency, and the site encourages donors to coordinate so gifts are effective.
